Start by standing in Mountain Pose with your feet hip-distance apart and your hands at your sides. Take a deep breath in, and on your exhale, take a step forward with your left foot. Move your right foot back so your feet are now hip-distance apart in a lunge position. Bend your left knee so it stacks directly over your left ankle and your right knee is near the ground. Place your hands on your hips and press your hips forward.

Now, move your hands behind your back and clasp them together. Square your hips forward, keeping your right knee on the ground and your spine straight. Lift your chest and heart up towards the ceiling and draw your shoulder blades onto your back. Ensure your hands are still firmly clasped behind your back. Hold the pose for 5 to 8 breaths, or 30 to 60 seconds. On your exhale, release your hands and slowly step back into Mountain Pose.
