The Sage Marichi pose

This is a tutorial on the Sage Marichi pose, an essential yoga postural exercise. The Sage Marichi pose is an effective asana designed to stretch and strengthen the spine, arms, and legs. This exercise increases flexibility and can help to reduce stress and fatigue. It also helps to enhance balance, coordination and concentration.

To begin the Sage Marichi pose, come onto all fours and place your hands on the floor in front of your shoulders. Bend your elbows, and bring your palms flat against the floor. Your head should be in a neutral position, looking straight ahead. Now, straighten your legs and lift your hips up to the ceiling. Draw your shoulder blades together and press your chest out. Reach your arms out in front of you, keeping your palms flat against the floor. Breathe deeply as you move your arms back, as if you were doing a reverse push-up.

Hold the pose for 5-10 breaths and then release. This pose can be done seated, standing, or even while lying down. It helps to improve posture, flexibility and strength.

Remember to practice the Sage Marichi pose safely and to consult with your doctor before beginning any exercise program. Add this pose to your regular yoga practice and enjoy the many benefits it has to offer!
