One leg reclined hero pose with knee bent

Welcome to the one leg reclined hero pose with knee bent. This is an advanced yoga pose that helps to open the hips and chest while deeply stretching the inner thigh muscles. It is also a great way to improve balance, core strength, and stability.

To get into the pose, start by coming into a modified hero pose with one knee bent. Place the foot of the bent knee close to the opposite hip, and then draw the knee up to the chest. From here, lean back and place the hands behind the body. As you lean back, engage the core and press the tailbone down. When you’re ready, slowly extend the bent knee, straightening the leg and extending it out to the side. Keep the hips even and the chest lifted as you do so.

When you’re in the pose, focus on the breath and take a few deep inhalations and exhalations. Feel the stretch in the hip, as well as in the inner thigh muscle. As you stay in the pose, you can deepen it by pressing the hips down and maintaining a strong core.

To come out of the pose, draw the bent knee back to the chest and come back into the modified hero pose before releasing the stretch.

This one leg reclined hero pose with knee bent is an excellent way to increase hip flexibility and strength while also calming the mind. Give it a try and let us know how it goes!
